On April 23rd, a groundbreaking ceremony was held to lay the first stone marking the beginning of construction for the new Chuquibamba bridge in Cajabamba. This important infrastructure project replaces an older bridge and will improve the quality of life for Cajabamba residents and transportation routes that support economic activities such as agriculture and livestock. The new bridge will also enhance road safety and promote greater integration and communication between local communities. The new Chuquibamba bridge will be 101 meters long by 10 meters wide, with double vehicle lanes and pedestrian sidewalks. The project is a result of a cooperation agreement between Tahoe Perú Shahuindo, the Regional Government of Cajamarca, and the Municipality of Cajabamba.
