Tahoe Canada is the proud recipient of a Canadian Industry Partnership for Energy Conservation (CIPEC) Leadership Award in the Employee Awareness and Training category. This category represents companies who endorse “advancement of employee awareness and understanding of energy efficiency and promotion of best practices through knowledge exchange.”
Tahoe Canada’s Energy Incentive Program was recognized for significant achievements in energy efficiency and environmental stewardship within the industrial sector. The award was presented during the 2018 Energy Summit at the CIPEC Leadership Awards Dinner on May 30th. The CIPEC Leadership Awards originated in 2005, and are presented every second year to Canadian industrial organizations that have made exceptional advances in energy efficiency that align with the Government of Canada’s commitment to advancing its clean growth agenda.
CIPEC is a partnership between private industry and the Canadian federal Government with a mission to promote and improve Canada’s industrial energy efficiency and reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the industrial sector. CIPEC aims to reduce energy inputs, maximize profits, strengthen competitiveness and ensure a more sustainable future for Canada’s industries through investment in energy efficiency.
