CSR Forum 2018 in Guatemala Will Showcase Tahoe’s Human Rights Work at MSR

The Ninth Annual National CSR Conference to be held in Guatemala City on May 23-25, 2018 will provide a forum for raising awareness and sharing good practices on sustainable development and responsible business practice in and among the Guatemalan private sector. The conference is organized and hosted by the Centro para la Acción de la Responsabilidad Social Empresarial (CentraRSE), a Guatemalan think tank for private sector responsible business initiatives in Guatemala, and co-sponsored by Tahoe’s subsidiary Minera San Rafael. Dost Bardouille, Tahoe’s Vice President of Sustainability, will present on May 23rd, 3 – 5:30pm, on the panel for Implementation of the Guiding Principles for Business and Human Rights and the Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights in Guatemala. Ms. Bardouille will present on the experiences, challenges and opportunities in implementing Tahoe’s human rights program at the operational level. The panel will include presentations by other private sector representatives, government officials, and the diplomatic corps, as well as remarks from a representative of the community-based organization The Xinka Communities of Guatemala.
